Shing Yi Chi Kung
This ancient Chinese system of exercises, forms, breathings, meditations, and postures is a unique and powerful method of strengthening the entire body, increasing the flow of "chi" {vital energy} throughout the body and developing mind power. Muscles and tendons are lengthened and strengthed while the bones and ligaments become stronger; all without the use of weights or equipment of any kind.
As the chi develops in the practioner, one literally feels the increased energy, wellness and strength in the body, and becomes filled with enthusiasm and aliveness. Due to the mental concentration engaged in performing Shing Yi, the mind becomes stronger and sharper.
Internally, the movements of Shing Yi are based on the Chinese Five Element Theory and are designed for strengthening the five important organs: heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, and spleen. Practicing these five basic movements will remove stagnant chi, increase the chi circulation, and build up the health of these vital organs.
In Shing Yi training, the practioner is learning how to lead the chi through the body and nourish the brain and spirit, become spiritually brave - helping to face all the challenges of life - and ultimately attain complete calmness and peacefulness.
